Looks to me like a “signaling of intention” by all parties.

The ASun wants to think outside the box, high level FCS schools want Karl Benson to hear their names thrown around.

Still can’t figure out UCA though. Footprint stretcher, probably couldn’t make FBS work in Razorback country.

If we were FCS we would have tried to join over EKU, if only to be able to play in Louisville every season in 18k seater arena Freedom Hall...

There’s a solid group of FCS schools that could make FBS work from a consistent competitive standpoint. I’d have both Eastern Kentucky and Jacksonville St in that group. I think it really shows the need for a third tier in college football.
