Some of you people have a BIG misconception about how long ULL has actually had a "good" football team. Below is ULL's record covering the 5-year period of seasons from 2014 to 2018:

2014 - 9-4 (LA Tech beat ULL 48-20)
2015 - 4-8 (LA Tech beat ULL 43-14)
2016 - 6-7
2017 - 5-7
2018 - 7-6
TOTAL = 31-32

Meh. That's an okay record, but nothing special. Meanwhile, LA Tech was 42-25 and won 5 straight bowl games over the same 5-yr period. As you may know, both schools had a good year in 2019, with ULL wining 11 games and LA Tech winning 10.

WVU is a P5 and so they can at least play the elitist card. That is not a good comparison. Tech just acts like elitist, yet they aren’t ranked and play in an inferior conference. Whatever...Louisiana and their fans want to play.

Your analysis even further proves what I’ve been saying for a long time now. Louisiana started taking football seriously about 15 years ago. We are really just getting started but that is nobody’s fault but our own.

How many P5 schools have the Cajuns beat in football over the last 30 years or so?
