No fans for Basketball (for now)
Thank you for supporting the University of Cincinnati basketball program. You are a valued season-ticket holder and your investment in our program is vital to the Bearcats' immediate and long-term success. In consultation with University leadership, Bearcats Athletics has developed a plan for a return of Bearcats basketball this fall/winter.

As we all know, the 2020-21 basketball season will not be normal. It will require patience, close monitoring of the Coronavirus and any spread it might have within our local and extended community, an ability to be nimble and adjust as necessary and strict compliance with health and safety protocols. Be assured that Bearcats Athletics is continuously striving to fulfill these requirements, so that a basketball season can occur. Additionally, with an ongoing focus on the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches and staff, and with a keen awareness that our path to basketball will be directed ultimately by this virus, we have taken the following actions:

We will start the season without fans in Fifth Third Arena. We will permit fans in the arena later in the season only if we determine it is safe and appropriate to do so. We are not holding to a timeframe on such a determination.

There will be no basketball season tickets. Season ticket holder status and ticket locations will automatically be rolled over to the 2021-22 season, for all season ticket holders. In the event fans are permitted to attend games, we will sell tickets on a single-game basis and tickets will be made available only to season ticket holders.

We will be following strict health and safety protocols for our student-athletes. This will include enhanced testing, daily health and safety checks, and the creation and maintenance of a stringent gameday "bubble."

For those receiving this communication who are also football season ticket holders, this is essentially the same plan that we instituted in football. We shared a football ticket assurance plan in late August and communicated that to all season ticket holders. Only two months later, we find our department in the same scenario with men’s and women’s basketball. For those who did not receive the August communication, this is the first that each of you are being presented the details of the upcoming season and our ticket assurance plan.

Men's basketball season ticket holders will have four options on what they would like to do with money committed to 2020-2021 season tickets. Those options are detailed below or by clicking here.
