It's really more of a spread option than RPO. It's very reminiscent of App when they went to the spread, which makes sense as your OC was there for a good portion of that time when App was running that flavor of offense. You have RPOs as constraint plays but you shouldn't be offended by what they're calling it. Some of these guys weren't calling games back when the spread took over in 2007 and everyone was running option principles as part of the base offense so the only thing they can compare it to is triple option.

Brad Glenn was heavily involved in the offense at App during that time and the OL coach in that offense is your HC.
