Houston: Pirates are 'dealing with issues'

https://www.reflector.com/houston-pirate...06a5f.html

East Carolina football is "dealing with issues," head coach Mike Houston said Wednesday evening after the team's practice, regarding COVID-19 testing and contact tracing.

Houston did not elaborate with specifics on who or how many players are affected, including when asked if starting quarterback Holton Ahlers practiced Wednesday.

"There's no way I want to address any kind of rumor," Houston said. "I'm not discussing any players....We are dealing with some issues right now and we'll continue to work through them as the week goes on," Houston said. "It's a situation that is still very fluid. We've had two really good practices, particularly today. ... I'm not really going to discuss or get into who's available or who's not available right now. I'm excited about the group that we have on the field. We have had to make some adjustments.

"Those adjustments have been made and will continue to be made. ... We won't have a true picture until the end of the week of what our roster is going to look like. We knew this was going to be an abnormal year."
