With Des we've got an elite runner and below average passer. He's 30 games in any change in that will only be marginal. The two relevant questions are can you be a top 10 team from a G5 conference without a guys who's a top of his conference caliber QB? Most of those teams have really elite QB. The other question is do we have an upgrade on the roster? Most of us who would like to see Bryant get a chance with the 1s were encouraged by his start at Memphis last year even though mistakes were made. It was his first start and he was on the road against the conference's best team. A week later a healthy Ridder had the exact same result (close loss) in his 25th or so start.

Now that it looks like the WR excuse is going away it makes sense to have a QB who can take advantage of that.

Not sure what elite means anymore m, but I don't think Des is elite at running. Pretty good and crafty, but is not in the top tier.
