FWIW I didn't gut your point so much as your methodology. Your point may very well be valid. But I think it's important for the folks who are nearer the middle like you and I to call out the bull**** arguments (even when we make them ourselves).

I think 'politically acceptable' is subjective...would what the admin deems acceptable here at ODU (per your theory, pro_BLM, or gay rights, etc) be seen the same way by folks in the same positions at Liberty? And if not, how does that affect your larger point...that only the 'woke' squash dissenting viewpoint?

Also FWIW, I think both the far-left and the far-right try and out-do each other WRT shouting down what's deemed not PC in their respective circles. My wife reads the comments to EVERYTHING...which is how she fell down a rabbit hole and how I now know so much about QAnon and we're probably on a watch list, but that's another story...but I can't. I can't bear the straight-up falsehoods by either side. I can't bear the constant combativeness. So I try and stay out of the comments pretty much everywhere.
