Question 1: If there is a spring football season, is it a short season? 6-8 games at the most, probably conference only. If there is a spring season, will the fall 2021 season be delayed to give athletes more recovery time? Would this shorten the fall schedule?

Question 2: If there is no spring football season, would the NCAA allow extra games in the fall? An extra one or two games to make up for the lack of a prior season to make up for interest and finances? Allow two FCS games to count towards bowl eligibility?

An idea would be to combine the spring and fall seasons into one mega 2021 season. Four to six OOC games in the spring, then the conference schedule (nine games for everyone) in the fall, with conference championships and bowls as they normally would. Still a lot of issues (eligibility, whether COVID is still this much of an issue this time next year, how many games is too many?) but I could see this being a one-time workaround if everything was done professionally, with all due diligence, and everyone on board from the get-go. So it won't be happening.
