Few things in 2020 are certain. But if we are going to wish upon a star that a regular season is completed and bowl games are played, then if that wish comes true, I am certain that the NCAA will permit any team with a .500 record in 2020 to play in a bowl game this season.

Not sure that will make much difference. With the P5 largely playing just internally---about 40% of these leagues will probably finish below .500. Frankly, I think we will be lucky to make it more than half way through the season---expectations that we will actually have a significant December bowl season is probably a bridge too far. I hope college football gets in an entire season with bowls---but its looking like a real long shot to me.
