Imo, don't think people are getting their undies in a bunch. I think it reflects a larger, lingering frustration with the a.dept. for just not saying much of anything on some things, as if "it's none of your business," to fans it needs to buy tickets and make donations. I repeated the cheerleader situation as an example. This kind of reaction has appeared on several other threads when something is posted before the official website.
This modus operandi is well-known to long-time fans and needs no documentation ... unless you want to see one of the longest threads in Dog Pound history. Individually, I don't. 'Nuff said by me.
Gameday staff was notified over the weekend.
Still doesn't excuse the department for not being able to send out a press release or something. I can't believe this was a shock to the department. I would have hoped they were prepared for this and could have pushed out some info over the weekend.
