Definitely New Zealand. It has no poisonous snakes, no stinging insects except for something akin to the South Georgia sand gnat, has a stable economy, the only socialized medicine system that works because they don't let immigrants in unless they have 20 or more working years left before retirement or a unique business to offer that won't eliminate existing business, and you can go from snow skiing to water skiing in half a day if you like. And the crime rate is relatively low.
The only drawback is you had better like mutton and tolerate earthquakes. My wife and I were two deaths away from immigrating there in 1983 as we saw the coming troubles in the U.S.. Had we both not lost a grandparent that year, which made us realize how much it would have cost to travel home for two funerals, we were ready to go.
I was ready to go there in 1979. Then Reagan won the 1980 election and so I decided to stay. Still not sure whether that was the right decision or not.
It's not moot for us. We are past the age for immigration to New Zealand and would not qualify for the medical coverage because of it.

I'm there now too. At one time about 20 years ago I had enough to buy my way in, but the older you get the more that takes, and I didn't move when I could have.
