Even US Grant? Seems like no one can escape it. Columbus, Washington, Jefferson, Grant maybe even Andrew Jackson. Heck who knows...maybe even the color gray will be banned and cotton. Since some folks want to take down Confederate statues...I can tell them there are a bunch of them are....at Vicksburg, Gettysburg, Shiloh and Fredericksburg...to name a few. Seems like only the Union Army (my ancestors fought as volunteers in the Rhode Island Regiments of the Union Army) statues need to be up and those they fought against....those other Southern Americans who took an oath of allegiance to the US after the war....need to be torn down (NOT). They admitted they made a mistake but....they were born as US citizens and those that survived died as US citizens and even those who died fighting for the Confederacy were still considered US citizens since succession was never declared as legal.
