Do you not think Brees himself feels like he lost credibility by not seeing the entire picture and simplifying the issue?

Yes. I just read the apology.

I have about a hundred things to say on the subject, but it's probably best that I just keep my mouth shut. I tried having intelligent discussions on social media over the past week, but it's pointless when you show people FACTS and their response is "I don't care about facts, I know what I know", there really is no point.
So you agree that Drew himself feels he lost some cred.

I cant imagine what "Facts" you were posting.

The fact that in 2019 there were a total of 9 unarmed black men killed by police (and most of them, while unarmed, were in the process of assaulting the officer).

The fact that blacks being killed by police has dropped 70% over the past 40 years.

And, before you jump down my throat...yes, we still have work to do and yes, there are still racist elements that need to be addressed. Just because someone points out a fact, doesn't mean they are racist. People can be intelligent enough to be anti-racist and also be honest that there has been progress made.

It is trending down...But do you really feel that people who have been screaming police brutality for years and where mostly ignored due to lack of evidence are going to accept a downward trend when they finally have evidence in hand.

The data I find shows 28...But either way not a huge number.

And this is not only about deaths. It is about the overall treatment of crimes.

Lets compare Crack Addicts (Criminals who need to be locked up) to Prescription Drug Addicts (Sick individuals who need help).

Fair points. I can see what you're saying. I guess I'm looking at social media too much and seeing all of the comments about how there is a "genocide going on" and how a "black man can't walk down the street without being gunned down", type of rhetoric.

28 is the number of total deaths in 2019. 9 is the number of "unarmed", killed by cops. From the WSJ.
