I asked you to clarify what your definition of "FBS conference planned" was. Because I suspected that you'd declare victory no matter what happened, saying that the conferences were, in fact planned--in secret like the Great Northern has been planned for the last 10 years or so.

But if that's what it takes, I will accept the bet, extended to June 30 as you requested, and I will give a definition. A new FBS conference announced, verified by articles accessible on google, with let's say five members confirmed. Stated in terms of what WILL happen, not an aspiration or a plan that is being explored.

Does the funding hinge on UAH finding a conference? MAybe Atlantic Hockey adds a second long trip?

High Point Announces 10 Year Growth Plan.

Money quote:
Quote:$300 million in new construction, including a new library, academic building, admissions center and Division I ice hockey facility.

The press release is from September 2019, and there are no details about what gets built when, etc. So the plan is, IMO, very much at risk of being overtaken by financial events. (Much like UAH's arena plan, or any big capital construction project right now.)

High Point club hockey plays a roster of mostly high-profile southern college programs. https://highpointclubsports.com/sports/c...y/schedule

Liberty seems to have the money to do whatever they want, so they're a plausible candidate for pretty much anything expensive. Let's see what a little bit of research turns up. http://www.liberty.edu/campusrec/clubsports/index.cfm?pid=25961&teamID=2&seasonID=182

For one thing, Liberty club hockey played 37 games? OK, that seems normal, wikipedia says Notre Dame hockey was 15-15-7 in 2019-20. So it's High Point with the light schedule, 19 games.

Lindenwood has a club hockey program which plays at the St Louis Blues' practice facility. Their women's hockey team is Division I, so it's a possibility, but I don't see any reason to say it's a plan. (Note: Not sure St Louis MO needs a "southern league")
