I feel worse about Heflin than Harbison, though Heflin at least finished the year. Harbison was not bad but the optimist in me says we can find somebody better at RB. We'll be thin on defense though. I guess I just repeated what you said, he will be harder to replace than Harbison.

I think we got some great options at running back, and a coach who specializes in coaching up running backs. Harbison was good, but he's not NFL level talent like Heflin is. Kid is just good and he's got excellent size. We are going to miss this guy big.

I wonder about the "coaching up running backs" even. You get a good running back and he's just good, coaching or not. You can't teach the kind of talent that some of the guys had that Hammock coached. I think you gotta get the players here in the first place is the important thing.

Gus Edwards wasn't anything. He was a backup in Miami and transferred To Rutgers, where he was also mediocre. Justin Forsett was bounced from multsiple teams, till he found success on the Ravens.

The Wisconsin running backs were probably all good beforehand. He's bringing in some great talent, like Jay Ducker.

I liked Forsett from the first time I saw him in the NFL. He was obviously good. Maybe he wasn't big enough for an everydown back but he certainly had the talent from day 1.

I hope you're right about the talent he's bringing in. The consensus on this board seems to be optimistic in that regard. We've been missing the great RBs we used to have.
