The reason being our anemic offensive gameplans that I don't anticipate getting much better since we didn't have much turnover in staff. Hopefully the TE coach from Arkansas is ghost writing part of the playbook for Vincent. Our defense should be even more lights out than it was last year, though.
Basketball I don't have a strong opinion on. I didn't get to watch many games since they usually come on at 5 my time, but the ones I did watch were pretty stale. I have been reading/watching Kennedy content though, and he does have me excited. I wish the schedule came out sooner so I could try to plan a weekend to do a Thursday night basketball game and a Saturday night football game.
the issue with the offense is the line and their inability to open a hole a gnat could fly through. when you can not run the ball its pretty damn easy to be shut down. when you cant run the ball your play calling is limited. when you cant run the ball your QB tries takes risks he normally would not because he feels like he has to win the game.
We’ve had the same offense for several years though, even when we had good offensive lines. I think the line will be better, as will our offense in general. However, we really have to do things a lot better on that side of the ball if we are going to take the next big step forward.
