So, many very talented black athletes were left with "mid-major" type programs or HBC schools. But it was still not THAT unusual for even top-of-the-line white athletes to chose "smaller schools". So, it took me a while to adjust to the fact that mid-majors had virtually no chance anymore to compete for the most highly ranked recruits. So now, there is the ever increasing ease in transferring and I have to get used to mid-major athletes who excel maybe transferring up. Maybe I'm just too old for the aggravation.

This just seems weird ... I understand a QB at Notre Dame is different than a QB at Kent. Ditto just about any other position on the field going against better competition. But a kicker? His competition is the goal post!!!

A 50-yard FG at Dix Stadium is no different than a 50-yard FG at Notre Dame, shy of the fans in the stands. His 'pro' potential will look the same at either place.
