It does seem a little over-the-top to be referring to what is essentially a difference of opinion on something that has never happened before as a 'stupid comment'.

The shut down of the economy is about far more than GDP. It's about us going from 3% unemployment to 20% or more overnight, with no savings. I've said before... if there is one scenario under which an economic plan fails, expect the markets to test that theory... and this is it, as related to the deficit. Fortunately? (I mean as a counter to the worst case) This is impacting the entire world and not just the US.... but LOTS of things are changing already. UBI, government guaranteeing loans and businesses. Lots of things that have been used as stop-gaps now being seen (I forget the leftist commentator's quote, but it was along the lines of) to fundamentally change the nation into what we want it to be

The word 'destroy' is yours and you're speaking only of the economy. I read your quotes and I see him talking about 'sacrifice' in terms of 'the greatest generation'... A nation that many of these people or their parents quite literally fought and died for. I'm not yet 70, but I know many who would agree with him.... and all he said was there were lots of people like that... and there are.

So he is someone who clearly has a very different viewpoint from yours and you all but vilify him for it?
