Aside from this anecdotal incident, he was commenting correctly about the reputation he has for being a prick.

He is actually well known for being exceptionally nice. He personally takes people on tours of the basketball facility. He is open and will sit and talk to anyone.

This is well known in the coaching community.

Wowzers.

I doubt he talks to just 'anyone'. He's a smart guy who knows where his bread is buttered.

But (big but) he threw his players under the bus....that is the last resort of a coach who has lost it--no matter what the reason, you never. throw. your players. under the bus.

It is counterproductive to everything you want to accomplish--including staying employed.
