We are a second week team easily with Wiseman
I'm not so sure about that. The game (now) is guard oriented. And, we don't have the guard play. Not even close.
Excellent point.
Gonzaga's three best players are 6'11, 6'10, and 6'7.
Kansas' improvement from last year is very much because of 7'0 Azubuike being able to play the whole season.
SDSU's 2nd leading score is 6'10 240
Louisville's two best players are 6'7 and 6'10.
Dayton's best player is 6'9 (top 20 projected) Obi Toppin.
Duke's best player is 6'10 Vernon Carey.
WVU turned a dismal 2018-19 into a Elite 8 level team because they have two monsters down low. 6'9 and 6'10.
But yep, college basketball is a guards game.
You don't even need to go through all of that...
We likely only have 2 losses with Wiseman...That translates into a preferred seed close to home...First game against a double digit seed...Second game against a 5 or a 6 seed at worse. It not that hard to see us making the second weekend with that seeding.
Just going through all that to rebut the ridiculous notion that "bigs don't have an impact" in college basketball.
