If you are a fan of UAB and have lived in Birmingham for any amount of time, you would know exactly what this crap is. You were probably one of the ones sitting there saying the football program was fine right before the shutdown too.

I was one of the ones saying even before the program was shut down saying it was going to be shutdown. I was told that I was wrong and that would never happen.

I don't think the City of Birmingham should be building a 45,000 seat stadium when we have two events that brings a larger attendance and more money in one year than 5 UAB Football seasons combined So Birmingham and city business leaders are bailing out UAB Football when an OCS is really needed but the BOT will not let UAB have. That's where your ire should lie; with the BOT.

That said, the stadium is going to be built with UAB in mind. Dirt has been dug and moved for the site. Nothing will stop this from happening now. Is that not enough for some of you?

I can think of a bunch of other matters some of you should be upset about but I guess it's easier to rant about two or three people who oppose a stadium design.

Not pointing at you directly but I think this is what the stadium "group" is really agitated about. It's being built for UABs needs and not some SEC/NFL fantasy.
