Hops use of QBs this season
Below are the status on southernmiss.com for the QBs that played this year. I don't think Hop used the new redshirt (4 game) rule very well at all. There were games that either we had well in hand or was getting blown out where he could have gotten more snaps for backups. I was shocked that he didn't bring in Whatley for the 4th quarter against FAU. Why didn't Jaden Johnson ever get in for a snap in a game?

So, we redshirt Whatley this season. I wasn't super impressed with his play last season, albeit he was a freshman. We really need either Johnson or Rogers to excel and win the starting position next year.

Jack Abraham
12 Games
Completed 258 of 382 (67.5%)
3320 yards, 18 TDs, 15 INTs

Tate Whatley
2 Games
Completed 3 of 7 (42.9%)
65 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs

Chandler Rogers
2 Games
No passing attempts
9 rushing yards on 2 attempts
