Charlotte went on a freaking 24-0 run in the first half - how is that even possible. Charlotte shot around 70% in the second half - you have to be terrible to allow your opponent to shoot 70% in a half. Defense is 75-80% effort and a willingness to compete. How many of our guys are really competing tenaciously? Players like John Goldsberry would be completely embarrassed to watch this type of play. Everyone talks about McGrath bring a good recruiter, but I don’t even see that. We have a few ok players and the freshman have some potential, but I don’t think we have many players that would play significant minutes on a good mid-major team. Is this staff even capable of developing the freshman? I doubt it -

So you are actually saying that Sims, Gadsden and Toews are not good ballplayers? Unbelievable. SMDH
Gadsden comes back from hip surgery and he is diving for loose balls and scoring 11 points. All in the second half.
Toews, while I think he is holding on to the ball too much, he still 8 assists. And that with poor shooting. He's so bad he plays on the Japanese National team. Probably the youngest player on the team.
Sims has been our most solid player so far. He just had his worst game today.
But sure, I guess they should be playing D2 ball.
I said we had some ok players and those three are probably our best players at this point, but none of them are all-conference type players at this point. Kai would be a whole lot better if he could actually shoot a jump shot. Sims has a ton of potential, I think the most potential on the team. Ty plays hard and is a decent player, but he is undersized and will still get out-muscled by the stronger guards in the CAA. At least he does play with some passion. As I said, the freshman have some potential, but I have no faith that they will be able to develop under this circus of a coaching staff.
