I'm pretty much already there, but not for political reasons. I just find the current brand of NBA ball almost impossible to watch. Throw it around the perimeter until somebody jacks up a 3. This is clearly not the Bird-Magic or the Russell-Wilt NBA, and I find it unwatchable.
I'm allllmmmooostt in the same mindset. But, with me I can't remember the last time I watched an NBA game at all. Even when I played basketball as a kid I didn't watch it, but I loved college ball, preferably the Miners when they were good and would come out on tv, a lot. Now, I just watch a college game or two if it's not the Cabal, (what they call the schools with the money and the biases from everyone).
Last year the Miners almost lost their stranglehold on the national crown to Tex. Tech. We're still the ONLY school in the ENTIRE state of Texas that has a national championship. I know it's a little OT but who cares.
Nothing wrong with celebrating sports history. We were driving to Purdue this summer to visit that school with my oldest and we came across this sign in a tiny Indiana town named Wingate. I did a double take when I saw that they were celebrating their state high school basketball championships from 1913 and 1914!
