Now everything is on track for Tarleton State to join the WAC in the fall of 2020 along with Dixie State, ofsetting the departures of CSUB to the Big West and UMKC to the Summit League.

I didn’t know they were part of the A&M system.
Opened in 1899 as a private college, but optioned itself to both UT and A&M in 1917 as a satellite campus before that was a thing.

A&M took the option and Tarleton became the first member school of the A&M system
