RE: Men's Basketball Schedule Released
I may miss 1 game every 2 years. We go regardless of the opponent. Saying that, the avg fan will show up if.... the opponent is a big name, or if the team is "hot" and beating the doors off everyone. Lately, neither has happened. Playing big opponents at home and getting hammered will discourage the avg fan. Playing cupcakes at home discourages the avg fan, unless you score 100 consistently and hold them to 50. If we play this type of schedule, we should be running the table at home. We aren't and haven't had a product on the floor the past couple years that could. Buzzer beaters vs Troy and nail-biters against UNA aren't going to attract fans until our team starts to win consistently and by a large margin. Just my $0.02 and it's probably overpriced at that. :)
