I'm always amused when I see the P5 conferences referred to as a "cartel". Not only it is painfully childish, but it reveals just how desperately the writer desires their school to be part of the group. And if that were to ever happen for their school, how quickly the "cartel" references would disappear and the lording of their status over former peer schools and conferences would begin.

What about Tim Brando? Last I checked he wasn’t president of an AAC university or even affiliated with any member school.
