I was critical of the staff last year for the lack of attention to SE Michigan recruiting, particularly in the city. Toledo has taken advantage of this and come up with the best recruiting class in the MAC 4 years straight, this year included. Toledo has kids from Denby, River Rouge & ND Pontiac in this class, King & Harper Woods last year, East English Village, King, CC & Cass Tech in the 2018 class. If you look at CMUs top guys last year they were from Cass Tech(3), DeLaSalle & King.

If we have a reputation of not recruiting in and around Detroit it will be to our detriment. We should be getting the better in-state kids not going to MSU, UofM, Iowa and Kentucky.
