This happened to me before too. I booked as soon as the schedule was released (like within minutes) and a few weeks later received the same type of letter (not as bad as 9 months).

I don't even stay close to Clemson or Tallahassee due to motels jacking up the rates.

With Clemson it really would be best to just stay in Greenville and drive over in the morning. Only part that sucks is the insane traffic on the drive back, but that just gives you some time to hangout and tailgate some more
