You do realize going into the CFP, the ACC had no shot of NYD bowl outside the Orange. There was no way there was going to be a replacement this cycle. If bowls are still existing, I think you are seeing the move to the ACC vs SEC in the Outback Bowl in the next cycle.

ACC 2013 Tie-ins
Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman
Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, 2:30 p.m., ESPN

Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl (conditional)
Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, 9:30 p.m., ESPN

Russell Athletic Bowl
Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, 6:45 p.m., ESPN, ACC vs. American

Belk Bowl
Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, 3:20 p.m., ESPN, ACC vs. American

Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl
Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, 3:15 p.m., ESPN, ACC vs. SEC

AdvoCare V100 Bowl
Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, 12:30 p.m., ESPN, ACC vs. SEC

Hyundai Sun Bowl
Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, 2 p.m., CBS, ACC vs. Pac-12

Chick-fil-A Bowl
Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, 8 p.m., ESPN, ACC vs. SEC

Discover Orange Bowl
Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, 8 p.m., ESPN

Compared to possible 2020 ACC tie-ins.
Orange vs SEC, B10 or ND
Outback vs SEC (if B10 goes to Orange)
Gator Vs SEC(Back full time)
Holidayvs P12 (On Fox Sports)
Belkvs SEC/B10 (May move up in order due to the Las Vegas Bowl Split and Money)
PinStripe vs B10 (Carried over from last contract)
Sun Bowl vs Power 12 (CBS and Carried over from past two contracts)
Military vs AAC (Carried over from last two contracts)
Gasparilla vs SEC (Tampa) (Fulltime vs partial last bowl contract)
Boston vs AAC (New)
First Responder Dallas (not sure how tie in will work but appears to be last tie-in)

Conditional Tie-in for 12th team of Birmingham does not get an AAC or SEC team.

I am pretty happy from where it was in 2013. On Fox and CBS bowls. Only two G5 tie-in, possibly three depending on First Responder.

Of course you are happy, the pinnacle of bowls for a NC State fan is the Gator because y'all have refused to compete in football for close to 30 years, which is one of the reasons we are in the situation we are currently in. NC State doesn't travel to support their team when they are playing in the Belk Bowl so why in the hell would a bowl like the Outback or Alamo want to get stuck with someone like that? NC State isn't the only one but you being a NC State fan it's a great example. The reason why we lost the Gator to begin with was the fact that they were being forced to accept teams they didn't want because they didn't travel, and I'm willing to bet that it's a huge reason why our non-Orange Bowl regular rotation is the absolute worst in the P5 with multiple cold weather bowls.
