I probably asked this last too, but do the chances they end up on campus increases significantly after round 10?

Yes, significantly. The drop in signing money after round 5, then after round 10 is significant.

The later the better in terms of their chances to reach campus, but you never know how these things will go. You could have a 15th rounder elect to come to UNCW, and a 35th rounder elect to sign.

One indisputable truth is that High Schoolers on average make more money, and that's why about 60 % of current Major Leaguers were kids who were drafted and signed right out of High School. Unless you think you'll increase your draft stock, its better for many of these kids to go ahead and sign, because they start losing their negotiating power once they go to school. And 3 years later, their draft stock may fall.

And yes, its true that Greg Jones improved his draft stock. But remember, he was telling teams NOT to take him unless they were willing to give him $1.6M or more in signing bonus money, as he truly wanted to play here. Meaning no team was going to take him in the first 10 rounds or so. The Orioles took a gamble with him in Round 17 and offered $1.2M. He declined, and now he's going to get over $3M.
