Yeah I hadn’t heard either. As far as timing, historically this bowl was always around this time of year. ESPN is what forced it into some dates around Christmas.

I'm assuming they haven't found a sponsor yet?

That’s our assumption. It started as the Mobile, Alabama Bowl. Like Klak says, maybe it should just be something like The Mobile Bowl present by ______. Haha.

The Camellia Bowl did it right.

If Raycom ever stops being sponsor, the formula now is _____ Camellia Bowl.

They should do the same thing for Mobile. It gives it a specific name. That was one of the best things the CFP did, force "classic" names like the Peach Bowl presented by Chick Fil A instead of the Chick Fil A Bowl.
