Both years he had one hand tied behind his back, and that was coach Carey

All too often Childers got confused and thought he was playing basketball. A bounce pass is not a successful football play. Doubt if that was a coaching failure.

Childers did play an excellent game when it counted most, lets see if he can play at a high level consistently next year. Perhaps a new QB coach can help.

I thought he played relatively decent in the bowl game too.

He’s progressed, but not enough given how much playing time he’s had over the past few years. Hopefully a new system will help or bring some healthy competition. Anything will be better than Coach U’s offense.
