Kent State vs. Northern Illinois
Saturday starts a big stretch for the good guys. Three straight games against top notch MAC competition. NIU comes to the MAC Center with a 3-1 conference record. Their only setback was against a pretty good CMU squad. KSU will follow that up with home games against a very talented Toledo team and nationally ranked Buffalo.

Northern Illinois' top scorer, 6'0 junior Eugene German, averages 20 points per game, leads the team in steals and is second on the team in assists with 45. He does have 41 turnovers. Turnovers seem to be a problem for NIU. 6'7 senior Levi Bradley and 6'4 Dante Thorpe also average double digits for the Huskies. But the biggest concern for KSU may be 6'9/240 pound senior James Lacey. The big man averages 9 and 7 per night.

Getting two of these next three is big (is that a reasonable expectation?????????). But it starts with this one. NIU is 10-7 and they are NIU. They don't have the same cache as Buffalo or even Toledo.

How do you see the next three unfolding?
