One bad referee call cannot erase all of that.

Agreed.
We were lucky to be in that game at all.
ECU otherwise beat us soundly on the field. We had 271 total yards to their 492

Any season momentum change should have come from the VT game.
However, against one of the most marginal ECU teams is recent memory we ran for 21 yards total that was not offset by passing. In other words, we were back to the same ol' same ol' pass only with no run and no defense.

We could have regained some momentum after the WKU win as well, but we didn't.
It was not about losses either. It was how we lost. Down the stretch, this team was blown out very ordinary FAU, Marshall, and MTSU teams.
