Should Marshall and/or Southern Miss schedule a final home game December 1?
This is what I know:

If MTSU beats UTEP and UAB beats Southern Miss next Saturday Nobember 10, both teams (Marshall and Southern Miss) are mathematically eliminated in the conference title chase.

It’s possible a final home game against a non-playoff playing FCS team could be had on Saturday December 1 (CUSA Championship weekend.)

What I’m not sure about is the insurance payout complication.

Does anyone know or can confirm whether or not playing a 12th game cancels any insurance settlement for our canceled hurricane games?

If not, and I were administrators at these schools, I would work as hard as possible to land a soft agreement with an FCS school on that date.

I vote yes, thoughts?
