You see with Doaks the downside of a healthy redshirt. If he doesn't play this year he will only get three seasons of PT vs the four he would of had if he played year one.

The plan was to RS Thomas.

He's more in the mold of Warren & Doaks, so the thought was no need to have another similar back in the rotation.

They wanted to create some class separation, which makes sense.

Obviously that is over now.

Yeah I definitely would have preferred to be able to spread some of these guys' eligibility out (Thomas in particular) but I think our hands are getting kinda tied. Maybe we could get by this year with just Warren, Thomas and Boose but to my eyes, McClelland seems capable of bringing a different level of speed and quickness than maybe the others can.
