Although lots of "fans" constantly belittle our athletic program on here (although many are clandestine...and not so clandestine... OP and SEC wannabe's), we have had some great athletes come through USM in all sports.

Despite being strapped for moolah, having incompetent leadership, surrounded by teat slurping SEC programs that suckle all the milk available, and fans who expect us to rise out of our doldrums without doing a dam thing to make it so, we have persevered.

I work at a resort in the Panhandle (ready for the black bear response), and folks come in from all over the country. Whether from Missouri (like our good friend stank used to be), Ohio, New York, or Iowa, when I mention So Miss I ALWAYS get a great reaction.

They don't know Old Dominion, WKU, Florida Int'l Airport or even mighty FAU exist. While that is more depressing than encouraging, at least it is something.
