The NFL has gamed it out and they think it can work. A London team would play 2 or 3 consecutive games at home and 2 or 3 in a row here in the USA, and they would have a training facility here where they could get off the plane from London and go straight to their facility and work there during their road trips. The article I read suggested it would be near Dulles Airport in Virginia, but it would be just as easy to place it near another airport where they can easily fly nonstop from London, such as Atlanta or one of the NY/NJ airports. If the NFL added a 2nd bye week to the schedule, they could give every team that plays a road game in London a bye week after their trip to the UK.

There must be silent approval for this from the NFL offices. It's very unlikely that Khan would plunk down 500 million pounds just so he can say he's the landlord for England's national soccer teams.
