You sucked me into the rabbit hole, watched the whole game.

A few things strike me watching the game again all these years later:

1. My recollection was that DRose dominated Westbrook, that's what I remembered, but that's not really what happened. DRose was better, but Russ was really good too.

2. CDR - man, I'm just not sure why he doesn't get the love from Tiger fans that some of the other all time greats do. I know he's got the Supreme Bae thing going and it didn't quite work out for him in the NBA; but geez, that dude was as good a college player as there ever was. Just unstoppable. Can we retire #14????

3. The Play - I always remember CDR dunking on Love and Dorsey pointing and laughing, which was amazing. But just a few minutes later, Dorsey sprints back and blocks a Westbrook lay up out of absolutely no where, just an awesome play.

4. Defense - that team was just stifling defensively. It started with AA on the perimeter and Dorsey on the inside, but CDR, Rose and Dozier were all phenomenal defenders.

Fun times indeed.

CDR was incredible during his time here and amazing in the tournament. The only sad thing is that he missed 3 free throws, including the front end of a one and one, a jumper, and before the two missed free throws he could have handed off to Dozier for a dunk that would have put the game away against Kansas.

We would have never gone far without him, that's for sure, but it's hard to forget the last 2 minutes of that game (obviously).

If AA had made the simple inbounds pass, nothing else make any difference. That’s the play that shocked me more than anything else.
