Actually useful information. Mergers and closings indicate that institutions are struggling.


Plus, it does effect the college sports and and conferences. Like Johnson State merged with Lyndon State to be known as Northern Vermont University at the D3 level. Both schools played in the same conference.

Mount Ida and Wheelock have D3 sports, plus John Wesley play sports in the NCCAA. Mount Ida athletes will go to UMass. Dartmouth while Wheelock athletes go to Boston U. The teams of the 2 Vermont schools will be merged into one team.

Oberlin is a historic college. It was one of the major schools in the old days which Mount Ida was.
