Well, when we're talking about crimes committed after they are already here, no, we don't then consider an irrelevant stat. Why would we.

Because the right likes to keep pointing out nearly every crime committed by illegals as if they commit all the crimes here in America, so the stats are looked at, and they actually don't commit more crimes than people born here. And not every illegal here made the conscious choice to illegally cross the border. Many did so as children with little choice.
