Alabama is not a football blueblood. Kentucky is. UConn, Cinci, and Memphis has more of a history of winning MBB games that I remember. The AAC is not going to get any better by adding teams.

Saying adding teams doesn't improve basketball is objectively wrong; they wouldn't have added WSU if that was the case. Adding a perennial national title contender wouldn't improve basketball? What kind of world do you live in?

This whole "basketball will improve just because it will" is utter garbage. Doing nothing gets you nowhere. And again, I don't care if you're not a basketball fan unconcerned with basketball success, I am. I don't know why you think basketball success can just wait and wait and wait. Basketball programs and their fans are concerned with getting better now, not sitting on their hands because football is OK. That isn't how this stuff works. Mick Cronin isn't going to say "oh I'm not going to hit the recruiting trail too hard this year, AAC football is doing great". Do you understand how that doesn't add up? This is the most elementary analysis of collegiate athletics I've been exposed to in a long time.
