True but its very close. One could walk to Ghent from ODU if it were safe. If LRT ever goes down Hampton Blvd it will connect the campus to downtown. And most importantly, if ODU and EVMS ever merge, the heart of Ghent will be the bridge between the two campuses. I could envision a time where ODU banners are hung on light poles down Colley, and ODU themed jerseys and photos in restaurants etc. It could truly become at least a quasi-college centric area with students from both campuses meeting in the middle to drink, eat and socialize. Basically Norfolk's version of "the Fan". All it takes is vision, desire and support from the state, city and campuses.

I would love for all of that to happen

This absolutely should be the vision. It would be transformational.
