Last time UAB played in the CUSA championship game was in the Spring of 2000. They played four games in four days. They faced a very tough Tulane team. Tulane won by 2 points. UAB would go on to receive an at large bid to the NCAA tournament. UAB went to Eugene, Oregon as an 11 seed and faced 6 seed Oregon. UAB would win that game in overtime and defeated Mississippi State two nights later to go to the Sweet 16!!!! Great trips and memories from 18 years ago!!!
