I think someone will take a flyer on him as a free agent after the draft but at 5'8" and 170 pounds, that is a little small for the NFL. I hate to say it because I love the way he played for NIU, the interception return at Nebraska might be one of the headiest plays by an NIU player in a long time.
+1
Size, history of injury, one REALLY good year........invite to a camp and a short visit. If he's not listed on draft boards by "experts" there's a reason. Would love to see another Huskie in the NFL but he and Jimmie Ward are not to be used in the same sentence, or even paragraph.
Shawun was a very, very solid collegiate player and if he had most of the six extra inches at 6'2" that Rashaan Melvin has, Lurry would have a real chance. Rashaan, as a current free agent, is very close to cashing in on a huge deal. He's going to get top 20 corner money.
Leading the nation in Interceptions qualifies him as having a great year. You can only have one of those years before teams decide not to throw to your side of the field. His style of play would not make him too small for the NFL. His only knock would be the injuries and his habit for gambling on plays. He played his best games against P5 opponents.
