Not sure that all countries are Shitholes in Africa. South Africa seems to be doing fine, and they are closer to us in economy wise. American University do have setup Universities in several of these countries. It was the American University in Haiti that was destroyed by the quake. That is where the smart students came from to continued their studies here in the states. Some became doctors and nurses that we do need.

American university does have a campus in Nigeria as well. American University is actually bringing the brightest minds to come to the states to get degrees in several areas. some became doctors. The Nigerian and Haitians doctors and nurses become full citizens because they are someone that we need for their skills.
