Overall, it was an okay year.

Here are my deductions:
The Tulsa game was UGLY and we were lucky to win.
We played Miami tough for a half. Then we got our butts kicked. We lost by 22, I think people forget that.
We got our butts handed to us in Athens and Mobile. Inexcusable to play the way we did.
We got smoked in the second half of the MACC. If that game is 10 minutes longer, Zippity do dah wins the title.

Let's be real, the MAC is weak this season and we took advantage of it. I don't think this team plays the way they did and wins the west most seasons. Come to think of it, maybe I am teetering back on that B- to C ledge...

Go back and look at the records of the MAC teams the Rockets played in 2004.

Not seeing the connection, or how that makes the 2017 team any better or worse.

A weak MAC is not an anomaly, Toledo's last MACC in 2004, the Conference was probably even weaker.

In the 2017 MACC, the Rockets were up 38-7 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Then 45-14 with 13 minutes left in the 4th. The game was over. Rockets were out scored in the 4th by 2 TD's. The last Akron score coming with 20 seconds in the game. Not exactly UT being dominated through out the 2nd half. It was 28-0 at half time. So do you do pull a Lane Kiffin at that point and shove opponent's face in the mud, or do you show some sportsmanship and back it down? At 45-14 the game was pretty secure.
