RE: I Have a New Challenging Exercise for You.....
I've been following along and enjoyed the discussion. Here is what I think. If going to 16 is the most likely scenario, the Big 10 adds Kansas and Iowa State (if we're saying that Oklahoma is already to the SEC and unavailable; I still think they could be Big 10 bound but for this exercise I'll let it go). They could theoretically only add Kansas (as murrdcu stated above) but the scheduling would be a hassle. An out of the box add (which won't happen, but I'd love it) would be WVU instead of Iowa State. This would mostly be a content add although it would strengthen both the western Maryland and western Pennsylvania portions of the market. The reason it won't happen is academics and secondarily, that market that is being strengthened isn't very large.

I feel like the Big 10 is almost more likely to go 20+ if Oklahoma is unavailable. This would be the raid/merger with the Pac. Go with Colorado, an Arizona school, USC & Cal (?), Oregon and Washington to get to 20. Politics may force schools to stay together which is why I think a 20+ school conference would be more likely. Again, for this exercise I stayed at 20. Thanks for having some fun threads to follow and I'm interested to see what y'all think the Big 10 will do.
