Results to date: Eureka College (122-65); Nebraska (67-86); Bethune-Cookman (90-78); UT-Rio Grand Valley (63-75); Rogers St (86-74); Ga Tech (49-63); Grambling St (82-77); Oklahoma (72-82); Texas-Arlington (60-65); Indiana St (97-76 OT); McNeese St (85-47); San Diego (86-83 OT); Georgetown (63-75); UTEP (63-62); UTSA (72-71); Charlotte (68-70).

Last game: Charlotte opened the game 23-14 before the Mean Green awoke and closed the gap to 28-34 at HT. N Texas continued to rally at finally took the lead 54-53 and had a 4-pt lead with less than 2 mins, but again faltered losing on a Charlotte follow shot with .02 secs. Shane Tamara and Rooserveldt Smart led the Mean Green with 12 pts apiece.

Stats: 75.4 pts (71.8); .458 FG (.344 3s); .661 FT; +3.1 RB; A/TO= 0.90

Starters
F Shane Temara (6-9 225 Sr). 24.5 min.; .536 FG (22-54 3s); .550 FT; 6.6 RB; 11.1 pts
F Zachary Simmons (6-9 235 Fr). 18.2 min.; .702 FG; .400 FT; 3.5 RB; 4.9 pts
G AJ Lawson (6-5 195 So). 28.7 min.; .387 FG (8-37 3s); .593 FT; 5.8 RB; 2.6 assists; 10.4 pts
G Roosevelt Smart (6-3 185 So). 31.9 min.; .431 FG (48-120 3s); .901 FT; 3.8 RB; 18.7 pts
G Ryan Woolridge (6-3 175 So). 35.9 min.; .507 FG (10-28 3s); .614 FT; 5.4 RB; 4.7 assists; 13.4 pts

Bench
G Jorden Duffy (6-2 170 Jr). 19.3 min.; .347 FG (14-48 3s); .692 FT; 2.1 RB; 6.1 pts
G Allante Holston (6-7 190 Jr). 19.6 min.; .500 FG (5-10 3s); .526 FT; 3.1 RB; 4.5 pts (3 starts)
F Tope Arikawe (6-8 220 Jr). 11.0 min.; .455 FG; .500 FT; 3.7 RB; 3.7 pts (3 games played)

Team very dangerous when hitting 3s (make 7.9/g) and is a strong ORB team (10.8/g). Roosevelt Smart a dangerous guard, takes 7.5 3s/g and doesn’t miss FTs. Team plagued by foul trouble (Simmons has fouled out 3X and greatly limits his PT) and hurt by opponent FTs while, aside from Smart, shoot only .593 FTs themselves.

+2 great consistent posts. Compared to NTX’s inconsistent performances against widely varying opponents. Who will show up for them tomorrow? Hopefully the team that struggled against lesser competition.
